Galataport Istanbul

A 1.2 km waterfront promenade blending a working cruise port, historic warehouses and world-class dining along the Bosphorus.

For over 150 years the docks of Karaköy were Istanbul's gateway to the world, welcoming passenger liners from across the Mediterranean. In 2021 the entire waterfront was reimagined as Galataport — the world's first cruise terminal with an underground passenger hall, allowing the sea promenade to remain fully open to the public. Historic customs buildings and the 19th-century Paket Postanesi have been restored as museums, boutiques and restaurants, while the İstanbul Modern art museum anchors the western end.
